Patience is the whole job
Breaks are fine. Sitting on a parent's lap is fine. Scissors instead of clippers around the ears if the noise is the problem. The cut takes as long as the child needs, and that is planned for when you book.
Kids
Ask any parent what goes wrong at the salon and it is the same list: the wait, the strangers, the clippers near the ears, the chair that is too high. At home almost all of that disappears. Familiar room, their own screen if it helps, a parent within arm's reach, and a barber who is not on a timer.

For a first cut the goal is a calm experience more than a perfect shape. The barber works with whatever the child will tolerate and stops before it stops being fun. There will be a next time.
Two or three children in one visit, one after the other, in the same room. Say the ages when you book so the time is right and the older one is not kept waiting.
Haircut + beard, per person. Travel and clean-up included.
